On the world stage Grand Bahama Shipyard leads the way in organizing and supporting Azipod and Fixipod overhauls. These skills were applied to the overhaul of the NCL ‘Jade’s’ propulsion systems during her extensive 21-day work period in late March. Performing such work requires detailed planning and scheduling to avoid conflicts and delays among the various departments, especially for hull treatment work comprised of  UHP blasting the complete underwater area followed by the application of owner-supplied, high performance coating system.
